"Saks Fifth Avenue Key to the Cure"

This fifth annual charity shopping weekend will benefit the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center's breast and gynecologic research and patient-care programs. Festivities will include special designer appearances and live entertainment, a silent auction and raffle, food and beverage samplings from local restaurants and—of course—shopping. Saks Fifth Avenue will donate 100 percent of auction and raffle proceeds from the evening and 2 percent of store sales from September 17 - 20.

Pediatric AIDS Research at the UCSF Children's Hospital will benefit from the fourth annual Peter St. Geme Inc.'s "Champions Run for Children." Renowned soprano Nuccia Focile and San Francisco's acclaimed New Century Chamber Orchestra will join in concert to benefit the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Orchestra. Funds raised for the Cancer Center will enable researchers and clinicians to continue their groundbreaking work in cancer research, care and prevention.
