Monthly Gift Highlights
We are pleased to highlight the following gifts and pledges received during July 2004:
  • Atlantic Philanthropies has pledged $20 million to support construction and programs at the Helen Diller Family Cancer Research Building at UCSF Mission Bay.
  • The Herbst Foundation, Inc., has pledged $1 million to name the Herbst Center for Students and Postdoctoral Scholars at UCSF Mission Bay's Campus Community Center.
  • Janet F. and Robert A. Schindler, MD, have given $100,000 to establish an endowed lectureship in otology in the UCSF Department of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery. Robert Schindler is chairman emeritus of the department.
  • Diane B. Wilsey has given $500,000 to support the Homeless Health Project and adolescent mental health programs at the Children's Center at Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute.
