- An anonymous gift of nearly $2 million will support construction of the Cardiovascular Research Institute building during the second phase of construction at the UCSF Mission Bay campus.
- A $2.8 million bequest from the estate of Maurice Eliaser, Jr., MD, will establish (1) an endowed chair in the Department of Psychiatry at the Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute to study genetic and/or environmental forces on brain dysfunction and (2) a distinguished professorship in the School of Medicine for research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of cardiovascular disease. Eliaser was an alumnus of the UCSF Class of 1935 and an emeritus faculty member.
