Monthly Gift Highlights

We are pleased to highlight a few recently received gifts and grants:
  • Gifts totaling $100,000 from Hani Ben-Halim will primarily support the work of Stanley Rogers, MD, Department of Surgery, in the area of minimally invasive surgery. Portions of the gift will also be directed to the work of pediatric neurologist Heather Fullerton, MD, and pediatric neurosurgeon Nalin Gupta, MD, PhD.
  • A gift of $100,000 from the Prostate Cancer Foundation will support the mission of the UCSF Prostate Cancer Program. The Prostate Cancer Foundation has given a total of nearly $8 million to fund prostate cancer research at UCSF.
  • A final distribution of $270,836 from the estate of Mae Patterson Wilson has been received, bringing her total contribution to more than $500,000. The gift will establish the Dr. Lloyd Wilson Endowed Scholarship in the School of Medicine in honor of Dr. Wilson, Class of 1931. A portion of the gift will also be used to name a room in his honor at the Helen Diller Family Cancer Research Building at UCSF Mission Bay.
