Monthly Gift Highlights

We are pleased to highlight several recently received gifts:
  • A grant of $75,000 from the Joseph Drown Foundation to UCSF's Cardiovascular Research Institute will support studies on the molecular basis of deficiencies in HDL (high density lipoprotein, or "good" cholesterol).
  • A gift of $500,000 from the Sarlo Family Supporting Foundation establishes the Sarlo-Ekman Endowed Chair in the Department of Psychiatry in honor of Paul Ekman, PhD. The chair supports research into the study of human emotion.
  • A gift of $500,000 from the Mildred V. Strouss Charitable Trust will establish the Mildred V. Strouss Endowed Chair in Vascular Surgery in UCSF's Department of Surgery.
