University of California to Host Reception During the 2008 BIO International Convention in San Diego
Reunite with old acquaintances and meet key members of the biotech world both from UC and industry at this reception held on the convention's "open" evening. Hear remarks from UCOP Vice Chancellor for Research Steve Beckwith and from UCSD Chancellor Marye Anne Fox. Then join in the lively conversation about how industry and academia can collaborate to promote health around the globe.
The BIO International Convention is the world's largest and most significant life sciences/biotechnology convention, with more than 20,000 industry, government and academic leaders attending from around the globe. If you are an alum, an investor, in the biotech field or interested in learning more about the key role that UC plays and how it partners with industry, you'll enjoy this event.
