DIFFA'S Dining by Design
The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS and the AIDS Research Institute at UCSF teamed up in November to produce DIFFA'S Dining by Design presented by ELLE DECOR and GE Monogram. Nearly 50 designers created one-of-a-kind dining environments for a preview party and gala dinner to raise money to support the Positive Health Program at San Francisco General Hospital. Local gala chairs were Lee Duren, Robert Fountain, Norman Kown, Ron Morgan and Margaret Russell. Dining by Design was produced in eight U.S. cities last year to provide resources to local HIV/AIDS organizations. DIFFA has granted more than $35 million to local organizations since its founding.

Macy's Passport
The AIDS Research Institute at UCSF has received a $25,000 donation from Macy's Passport 2007 to support various HIV/AIDS research projects at UCSF. Macy's Passport celebrated its 25th anniversary with a spectacular fundraising fashion event in September. Since the beginning of the gala event, Macy's Passport has contributed more than $1.5 million to UCSF for research to stop HIV/AIDS.
